INFRASTRUCTURE
Strong cities are built on strong infrastructure. This campaign prioritizes smart investment in roads, utilities, and public works that keeps Clarksville moving safely and efficiently. With decades of hands-on experience in street, gas, water, and sewer systems, this approach emphasizes preventative maintenance, modern planning, and fiscally responsible upgrades. The goal is simple, infrastructure that works today and is ready for tomorrow’s growth.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
City government should protect taxpayers by managing budgets carefully and making decisions based on long-term impact, not short-term pressure. This policy focuses on balancing budgets without sacrificing essential services or overburdening families. It includes standing firm in negotiations, rejecting funding with harmful strings attached, and ensuring the development of city plans, projects, and contracts that are fair, justified, and transparent. Responsible leadership means every dollar works as hard as the people who earn it.
JOBS
I will work closely with Montgomery County Government, the Economic Development Council, and the Industrial Development Board to bring in businesses that offer better jobs and higher pay for Clarksville residents. Economic growth should raise household incomes, not just population numbers, so my focus will be on employers that invest in their workforce and provide long term career opportunities. By coordinating planning, infrastructure, and workforce development, we can attract companies that fit our community and strengthen our local economy. When city and county leaders work together with a shared vision, we can create jobs that allow families to stay, grow, and prosper right here in Clarksville.
EDUCATION
I will work with our local schools and higher education partners to facilitate and support expanded education and opportunities for the children in our community. Investing in modern, well equipped schools is essential to maintaining strong neighborhoods and giving every child the opportunity to succeed. At the same time, I will support expanded education and training opportunities in the skilled trades, including electricians, plumbers, and other infrastructure related careers that keep our city running. By strengthening both traditional education and hands on career pathways, we can prepare students for good paying jobs while meeting the workforce needs of a growing community.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Public safety starts with supporting the men and women who show up when our community needs them most. This policy prioritizes fully staffing and properly equipping police and fire emergency response teams, while also investing in training, mental health resources, and modern facilities. When first responders feel supported and respected, they are better able to protect neighborhoods and build trust with the community. A safe city is one where those on the front lines are never asked to do more with less.
VETERANS
Clarksville’s identity is deeply tied to military service, and supporting veterans must go beyond symbolic gestures. My goal is helping service members successfully transition into civilian life through job placement partnerships, workforce training, and access to higher education and certification programs. By working with local employers, educational institutions, and veteran organizations, the city can connect veterans to meaningful careers that value their skills and leadership. Supporting veterans strengthens families, grows the local workforce, and honors service through action.
COOPERATIVE GOVERNMENT
The strongest communities are built when city and county governments work together toward shared goals. This policy prioritizes close cooperation with Montgomery County to coordinate services, reduce duplication, and use taxpayer dollars more efficiently. Through interlocal agreements and joint planning with local and regional partners, the city can expand services, improve and upgrade existing infrastructure, and plan responsively for growth. Working together ensures better outcomes for every resident, regardless of where they live in the community.
TAXES
Keeping taxes low while delivering essential services requires collaboration, not duplication. My focus will be on working with Montgomery County and other regional partners to analyze ways to share services, align long-term planning, and eliminate inefficiencies that drive up costs. Through joint budgeting efforts, interlocal agreements, and smart infrastructure planning, the city can stretch every tax dollar further. Cooperation allows both governments to provide strong services without placing unnecessary burdens on families and businesses.
